Family Day: Foleyage – A Park Made of Sound

Serpentine South Gallery 7 Feb 2016 Free

Families took over the airwaves with Radio Anti.

Artists Matthew de Kersaint Giraudeau and Ross Jardine (Radio Anti) ran a temporary radio station, broadcasting amongst the trees of Hyde Park. Families were invited to collect, create and manipulate sounds throughout the afternoon.

Participants rolled up their sleeves at the Foley-stage and produced a peculiar soundscape for the park from unexpected objects. We mapped new realities for Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens through a series of sonic experiments, both in the studio and from the field. Together, we broadcast our reimagined soundscapes across the park.

This Family Day was a free drop-in event and was open to people of all ages.
